On July 21, 2022, Athena Infonomics, Resurgence, and an expert from the UK Met Office's WISER Programme recently came together to discuss our work on programme sustainability with a focus on improving the quality, accessibility, and use of weather and climate information services at all levels of decision-making in order to advance sustainable development in Africa.

Participants included Athena's Atul Mohan and Michael Minkoff, Mark Harvey and Sunayana Sen of Resurgence, and WISER expert John Mungai.

Using the WISER Programme as a case study, participants considered how climate change projects can integrate sustainability into their programme cycles, the challenges that arise, ways to overcome them and evaluate their impact.
