On May 31, 2023, Director of Business Development (USG) Michael Minkoff participated in an Equitable AI Community of Practice workshop hosted by USAID, DAI, and the Atlantic Council's GeoTech Center. This virtual workshop explored the integration of gender equity into practical and scalable applications of artificial intelligence (AI) focused on international development and humanitarian assistance.

The session featured a presentation on equitable AI by USAID Gender & AI Fellow Genevieve Smith, and multiple flash presentations from organizations working to advance equitable AI (including Athena) that helped to describe the challenges and solutions in developing and deploying such equitable AI in international development applications.
