Athena's Senior Consultant Sonia Shahid was invited to join a panel discussion during this year's Conference on Immigration and Expatriate Welfare, held in Dhaka, Bangladesh.  

Moderated by Dr. Tasneem Siddiqui, Chairperson of the University of Dhaka's Department of Political Science and the Founding Chairperson of the Refugee and Migratory Movements Research Unit (RMMRU), the panel discussion—entitled "Symposium on Current Issues on Migration"—considered recent challenges in remittance flow and the economic reintegration of returnee migrant workers, and offered learnings and case studies from the field.
