Athena was tasked with enhancing the effectiveness of Lok Capital's social impact measurement and reporting. The challenge centered on developing a framework that would not only assess but also vividly demonstrate the tangible benefits of investments made across key sectors. This required a nuanced approach to quantify impacts accurately and capture transformative stories at both the investee and beneficiary levels.
Athena crafted an innovative impact measurement framework, underpinned by a theory of change that outlined the expected outcomes of Lok Capital's investments. A detailed impact report was developed, highlighting the impact achieved through Lok 2 and Lok 3 funds. This involved conducting in-depth investigations into six select investees, employing a mix of data collection methods tailored to the unique contexts of each sector. These efforts culminated in the launch of an impact microsite, hosted on Lok Capital's domain, designed as a dynamic platform for ongoing impact reporting and monitoring.
