Ashraful Islam is an Associate Consultant (GSD) at Athena Infonomics. Prior to joining Athena Infonomics, he worked as a research associate at Consiglieri Private Limited (CPL), a Bangladeshi research and consultancy firm. During his time at CPL, he contributed to both quantitative and qualitative studies for various projects, including municipal solid waste management, annual performance surveys, feasibility assessments, building effective networks, and sanitation, funded by various international organizations such as SNV, Chemonics, Woord en Daad, Liliane Foundation, and UNOPS. Additionally, he gained some experience in auditing and assurance from his time as an intern at Deloitte Bangladesh for a short period. Besides work, Ashraful is interested in learning advanced econometric modeling, including both time series and cross-sectional analysis.

Ashraful earned his MSc in Economics degree from Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB), and a BBA with a major in Accounting degree from North South University (NSU).
