Navya holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Economics and Environmental Studies from Ashoka University. Previously, she has also completed B.A (Hons.) in Economics from the same institution. Her interest lies in the intersection of climate change, livelihood issues, climate resilience, governance and public policy, with a particular focus on marginalised communities. Additionally, Navya is passionate about exploring the real-life implications of policy frameworks intended for advancing social equity and addressing critical areas of concern such as education, healthcare, sanitation, etc. She is experienced with the use of data analysis and quantitative methodologies for the same.
Prior to Athena, Navya has interned at the Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER), and had conducted research for a project regarding central policies promoting sustainable agriculture, with a special focus on highlighting the environmental benefits of the Mahatma Gandhi National Employment Guarantee Scheme (NREGS).
