Swagata Sen is a humanitarian professional with 14 years of experience dedicated to addressing and mitigating issues related to human trafficking, human smuggling, migration, forced labor, and child protection.
She has an extensive background in planning and executing raid and rescue operations, along with supporting the legal proceedings related to such cases, facilitating rehabilitation, reintegration, and repatriation of victims and survivors. Her professional skill set encompasses training and enhancing the capabilities of judicial personnel, law enforcement officers, border security personnel, and civil society organizations, as well as cultivating valuable networks and partnerships.
She is a Hubert. H. Humphrey Fulbright fellow (2021-22), and did her fellowship in Trafficking in Persons - Prevention and Policy. During her fellowship, she studied at the American University Washington College of Law and did her Professional Affiliation with the International Organization for Migration in Washington, D.C.
