She has worked extensively on climate change projects, integrating areas like health, livelihoods, gender, and agriculture. Throughout her career, Vandana has provided strategic and technical support to various organizations, including CIFF, CAF, and the Rockefeller Foundation, enabling informed, data-driven decisions. Her expertise includes monitoring and evaluation, research project design, developing analytical frameworks, and delivering actionable insights.
Prior to joining Athena, Vandana worked in the social impact space, where she was part of various climate change investments, contributing to both operational and strategic management decisions.Additionally, she has published a research paper on climate risk analysis and authored several reports, articles, and op-eds that examine the complexities of climate change, emphasizing ground realities with a people-centered approach.
