Athena Infonomics in collaboration with the United States Consulate General, Chennai hosted a distinguished panel of experts and legislators to discuss and deliberate on what it takes to make elections work. The panel brought out comparative views on electoral processes in the United states and India. Eminent business leaders, psephologists, academics, civil society members participated in an engaging discussion on issues and questions such as how to positively influence the quality of campaigns and voter turnout? What are the key determinants of perception (formation) among voters? And how has the role of electoral institutions evolved and what are the practical barriers to implementing electoral reforms?
