Ms. Sushmita Ghatak, MBA (IIM Calcutta) and Fulbright – Nehru - CII Fellow (Tepper School of Business) has 30 years of professional experience and governance expertise across Tata Steel and Group ICRA. Sushmita has been in a leadership role for 16+ years as MD & CEO, and earlier as ED & COO at ICRA Analytics Ltd, a wholly owned material subsidiary of ICRA Ltd, an affiliate of Moody’s Investors Service. She has managed diverse businesses of management consulting, analytical offshoring services, risk management solutions, fixed income research and tech-enabled products and solutions in investment analytics. 

Her experience spans conceptualizing and executing strategic plans, expanding into new markets, launching new offerings, improving operational efficiency and P&L, executing mergers, turning around loss-making businesses, managing change, building winning teams, and implementing technology and innovation initiatives. In addition to achieving business outcomes, she consistently focused on building the organization by instilling a culture of process excellence, compliance, and talent retention. 

Her keen interest in sustainable organizational longevity led her to undertake a doctoral study on this topic from SP Jain School of Global Management and obtain certifications in ESG and sustainability from CFA Institute, NYU Stern and IICA. She is registered as an Independent Director with IICA.
